In 2015, flash floods hit Eagle Pass, sending water pouring into over 600 homes.  Many of these homes belong to people without financial means to recover from the damage.  Church teams went in during 2015 and helped clean up, and now other teams are helping make the repairs.  All the people of the church are invited to participate in this year’s mission trip, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 26-28 (if needed, folks can return Saturday night).  Many of the volunteers will be leaving early Friday morning, while others will leave after work on Friday.  Housing will be at a local church.  This trip is open to adults plus their children ages 12 and up.  Talk to Scott Martin at (830) 772-3345 if you have any questions.

The Youth Mission Trip took place June 13 – 20 in 2015.  There were nine adults and eighteen youth that participated. Their destination was Crownpoint, New Mexico on an Indian reservation.  They again connected with Next Step Ministries which is doing extensive work in that community to help people in need.  Our group was large enough this year to break into three different work teams.

The mission trip company that the youth group works under not only plans a week where youth can learn to serve and be the hands and feet of Christ, but they also make sure the youth have a time of worship and learning about God.  Each morning after breakfast, they had morning devotions, then devotions during lunch, and would finish off the day with a worship service and a time of reflection on how God is working in their lives.

The youth's next mission trip will be June 2016
