To raise funds for Military Ministry, Saturday & Sunday, August 7 & 8, 2015

To raise funds to help our returning troops through Cru Military Ministry, we put together an interactive dinner theater, performed on Saturday, August 7 at 6 PM and Sunday, August 8 at 5 PM.  Set in the early 1950s, “Family Camp” transported us back to an old-school Christian campground where families have gone for generations.  The evening of the play was the last night of camp, when it was revealed that the Dinsdales, long-time owners of Camp Awannahikealotta, are retiring and must sell the camp.  The buyer, Mr. Abbott, has plans to change everything about the place.  The evening's festivities include a talent show (with audience participation) and a patriotic salute to our troops and our nation.  During the events everyone has a chance to share why they love the camp so much.  All that's left is to see if Abbott will be convinced to preserve the natural charm and powerful Christian character of Camp Awannahikealotta for years to come.  Tickets cost $10 and support our troops.

Our next Military Ministry fund raiser will be August 2016

Our financial support for Stephen Dorner, and his wife Karen, who are ministry leaders in the Military Ministry group of Campus Crusade for Christ. Through spiritual seminars, materials (especially Bibles), and one-on-one conversations, Stephen supports our returning soldiers and our soldiers still in the field. Stephen and Karen are totally supported by donations like ours. Be sure to read their latest newsletter "Dorner Digest" posted on the entranceway bulletin board.

If you have a relative or friend currently serving, please get their picture up on the board in our church entranceway. You can post the picture yourself, or email your picture (and information) to us at
